About Justice Made Easy

Making access to justice more than an idea—it’s our mission.

Our Vision

A California where no one is left behind in the legal system. Where every person, regardless of income, has the tools, resources, and professional support to represent themselves successfully. Where justice is not just an ideal—but an everyday reality.

In California, nearly 70% of family law cases and 80% of civil cases involve at least one person who represents themselves because they cannot afford an attorney. That means thousands of people every year are left to navigate confusing legal paperwork, strict court deadlines, and overwhelming procedures—all on their own.

Justice shouldn’t depend on how much money you have. Yet for too many families, seniors, workers, and community members, the price of hiring an attorney is simply out of reach.

That’s where Legal Document Assistants (LDAs) step in. Registered with the county, LDAs are trained professionals who prepare legal paperwork at a fraction of the cost of hiring a lawyer. We don’t give legal advice—but we make sure the right forms are completed accurately, on time, and with clear explanations every step of the way.

  • Flat-fee services so clients know exactly what they’ll pay
  • One-on-one support to walk people through their paperwork
  • Accessible, local help so no one has to feel lost in the system

Why It Matters

Access to Justice (A2J) isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a movement. Studies show that when people have support completing their paperwork, they are more likely to get their cases heard fairly and less likely to be dismissed on technicalities. Affordable legal document preparation can mean the difference between keeping a home, gaining custody, updating vital identity documents, or protecting a family’s future.

Justice Made Easy exists to close this gap—by lowering costs, simplifying the process, and meeting people where they are.
